Dr. Onan is a nephrologist who provides care across the full spectrum of kidney disease and values the opportunity to build long-term relationships throughout a patient’s kidney health journey. He has a particular interest in supporting patients who choose home dialysis and works closely with individuals as their care needs evolve over time.
His approach emphasizes collaboration, combining data-driven, evidence-based care with flexibility when individual circumstances call for a more personalized path. Dr. Onan has been part of Kidney Specialists of Minnesota since 2010.
Having lived in many places, Dr. Onan considers Minnesota home and currently lives in Golden Valley with his wife, two sons, and their chocolate Labrador retriever. Outside of work, he enjoys staying physically active and coaching his sons’ baseball teams.
