Dr. Ries is a nephrologist who provides comprehensive care across the full spectrum of kidney disease, from acute concerns to chronic and complex conditions. His clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and electrolyte disorders.
He takes a collaborative approach to care, working closely with patients to establish shared goals that support their health and overall well-being. Dr. Ries has been part of Kidney Specialists of Minnesota since 2001.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Ries now lives in St. Paul with his wife, Heidi, and their two daughters, Samantha and Jennifer. Outside of work, he enjoys hockey, skiing, surfing, reading, traveling with his family, and chasing sunsets. He has been recognized with the Travis-Carr Service Award for his commitment to patient care and service.
